Position: SharePoint Administrator (Candidates Should be bilingual (English & Arabic))
Experience: 3-6yrs
Location: Qatar
Client: Gulf Drilling international
Budget: Handsome Salary+ Visa, Air ticket and Medical Insurance.
Work Duration: Initially One Year Contract through 3rd Party

JOB OBJECTIVE: web mastering, installing, configuring, maintaining SharePoint servers for both the intranet and internet systems plus troubleshoot and provide the needed support for the day-to-day inquiries from all the GDI users and assisting each department’s key persons to analyze and automate the internal processes and services by developing smooth applications on top of the intranet to replace the manual operations with an automated paperless ones to ensure optimum utilization of intranet / internet sites thus by increasing user satisfaction

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
SharePoint Sites Administration: Install, Configure, maintain, monitor the SharePoint servers to ensure the smooth running of applications, Setup the proper security metrics for each department. Support the day-to-day requests and inquiries from all the users. Ensure the smooth integration with other running systems (Active Directory, ISA, Exchange, ERP)
Setting up SharePoint governance: Design and implement the taxonomies and infrastructure for scaling-out SharePoint servers environment to enhance the overall performance and availability
End-user Training: Set up a quarterly and intake training session on how to use and benefits from the whole features offered by Microsoft SharePoint and the other custom applications built on top of it.
GDI Web Site Administration: Monitoring traffic and availability of GDI web site. Updating editorial articles and news. Activating and controlling users’ subscriptions to our e-Newsletter. Backup updated web site and their dependent databases. Ensure that search services are running and working properly. Deploy and implement any additional enhancements to the whole web site
Content and document management: Using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), SharePoint Content Publishing, Dashboard, Business Data Catalogs, Gant Charts, Managing content types, metadata, Form services, Excel services, SharePoint Blogs , Wiki’s, Discussion Threads to ensure providing teamwork and control GDI business documents approval, versioning, policies, notifications, workflows, auditing, searching and availability to all users. Design simple and composite workflows that serve company business and automate all the Non-ERP related processes.
Data Visualization & Reporting: Configure out-of-the-box and custom web parts to interact with SharePoint 2007 lists, libraries, Business data catalogues and other data sources also using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services to generate professional reports
Microsoft SQL Server Administration: Install, Configure, maintain, monitor the SQL servers to ensure the smooth running of dependent applications
Technical Writing: Provide all the technical documents that record all the installation, configurations, taxonomies used in our environment
Backup & Restoration: Carry out periodic backup and restoration operations of SharePoint and SQL server databases to meet backup and restoration targets
Policy and Procedures: Develop awareness of, and perform in accordance with the company’s established IT policies, procedures and methodologies so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Assist to Supervisors: Assist ITM in planning, administering, development, budgeting, maintenance and use of networking and communication systems to ensure budgetary requirements are met and covers the IT plan for the next financial year
Other duties: Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor in order to ensure that flow of work is continuous and adequate relief is provided
Qatarization: Assist in the execution of the Qatarization plan and the training/development of Qatari nationals in order to meet the company’s strategic objective

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Managers, Department staff and other department and section staff
External: IT systems related vendors & suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications: Computer science / Computer engineering degree from a recognized university

Minimum Experience: 3 to 4 years relevant experience in SharePoint and SQL Administration
Job-Specific Skills:
– Knowledge of using CMS & Web Based Publishing Systems
– Knowledge of Web Development Standards (XML, HTML)
– MS Office skills (2007 is preferred)
– Editorial Skills
– Power user skills in SharePoint Technologies
o Managing MOSS Based Webs sites
o Modifying custom lists
o Adding web parts
o Managing users & permissions
o Publishing Content
o Understanding Versioning and controlled publishing
– Using SharePoint Designer
– Knowledge of system integration with SharePoint
– Knowledge of .Net, JavaScript programming languages
– Knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 administration and development
